I have no and can't afford any health insurance, and I don't make enough to cover the very basics with out help from my family and friends for the last years. My job makes me work overnight shifts and even when I work over 32hours a week they are to cheap to give me coverage. At least I have some work and I am still looking for work.
If you have been looking for work , you know what I am talking about when I say, it is beyond frustrating and can make you depressed. I know better than to put my self value in the job I have or in all the rejections I continue to experience as I am still hunting for work. This still doesn't make it an easier to deal with. My girlfriend worries that this affects my attitude and how I am perceived in interviews (not that I have had that many with only 1 interview out of 27 application ratio) but I have noticed how drained and depressed most of the HR people seem in my interviews. I can't do anything but just keep on going. I don't accept this as how things are going to be. It has to change soon. I don't want to be negative, and I have been doing well not dwelling on it.
So when a boss makes 4 times what you do and doesn't do anything but make people miserable while talking about how hard he works and how he will make everyone happy 'cause that's how he does things, does he actually value you?
I am left wondering about all those people who are unemployed and how a single law maker can take away their only income and leave them in the cold, without reason. I am talking most recently about Senator Jim Bunning, the only one who objected to a 30-day extension of unemployment benefits and then whines about missing a game on tv, and it just a good example how screwed up people can be when they get power and have no soul. Oh well, what is next?
Where is the revolution people?
